Swiss Finance & Property optimized 102 properties across Switzerland and achieved 20,3 percent less heating energy and 410 tons less CO₂ in the first year.
What the method achieves on a large scale was demonstrated by Swiss Finance & Property: 102 buildings, 200'000 square meters, spread across Switzerland. In July 2023, ECCO2 equipped the portfolio with intelligent heating control, installed by the partner Cablex, during ongoing operation. The tenants did not notice a thing.
The systems learned the thermal behavior of each building and combined it with real-time weather data. Since then, heating has followed demand, not the calendar.
One year later the result was in: 20,3 percent less heating energy on the portfolio average, 410 tons less CO₂, as much as what around 4,6 million flight kilometers cause. The project target was exceeded, earlier than planned.
Financially, too, the calculation worked out: the savings clearly exceeded the cost of the optimization service.
