The challenge

What nobody measures is systematically run too high.

What is not measured cannot be controlled according to demand and is, in practice, often overrun. Today, many buildings are heated “to the standard” instead of to real demand: planning assumptions, safety margins and old parameters remain in the system and drive consumption above the effective heat demand. ECCO2 reverses this mechanism: we measure real operation, learn building and climate behavior, and control the heating dynamically accordingly. This means heating finally follows “demand” instead of just “the standard” – logically efficient and superior to planning.

Systematic overheating

Heating systems are set once at commissioning – with generous reserves for flow temperature, flow rate and operating times. The result is systematic overheating: surplus energy that increases tenants’ ancillary costs and raises the owner’s CO₂ emissions.
