Well insulated does not automatically mean efficient.

Modern new buildings such as Eisenbahnweg are well insulated. That is precisely what makes heating control demanding: thermal inertia, changing occupancy, and seasonal fluctuations can lead to unnecessary energy consumption without active control, directly increasing tenants’ ancillary costs.

The customer set clear requirements for the solution: no permanent structural interventions in the apartments, full operational transparency, and an approach that could scale across additional properties.

A compact gateway in the boiler room connects the heating control system to temperature measurements and incorporates site-specific weather forecasts. Based on this data, NARA AI automatically optimizes the supply temperature and continuously refines the building model throughout the heating season. Optimization is fully automated; parameters can be adjusted remotely when needed.

Operational data has since been available in real time through ECCO2 Cumulus Cloud, including automatic alerts for anomalies such as elevated water temperatures, heating outages, or incorrect controller settings.
