Cronos Finance measured first: 11 percent savings in the pilot on more than 40'800 m², one third of the buildings above 15 percent – then came more than a doubling.

“After the success of the pilot deployment, we decided to extend the solution to around thirty further buildings in the portfolio of the Cronos Immo Fund. It is an integral part of our strategy to reduce the CO₂ footprint of our real estate portfolio.”

Olivier Juillard, Head of Asset Management, Cronos Finance (translated from the original release)

How an experiment becomes a strategy was recently demonstrated in French-speaking Switzerland. Before Cronos Finance decided on the portfolio, measurements were taken: at the end of 2024, the Western Swiss fund manager started with ECCO2 on more than 40'800 square meters of residential space.

The result: 11 percent less energy on average, one third of the buildings above 15 percent. Measured on their own portfolio, not extrapolated.

The next step followed from the figures: expansion by around 30 buildings of the Cronos Immo Fund, more than a doubling, as part of the fund’s climate strategy.
